Key Account Manager Marko Salmela was one of the key organizers of The Switch Technology Day, a customer seminar on selected technical topics, on November 25, 2009, in Beijing. Marko sees events like this as a convenient way to focus on technology issues: “It’s a valuable chance to tell our customers and their customers – the utility companies who own and run the wind parks – more about our solutions. So we can go into details on topics that they are truly interested in,” Marko explains. The Technology Day program in Beijing was tailored to the customer’s specific wishes. Presentation topics included product features, grid code and fault ride-through performance as well as an analysis of on-site measurements conducted in wind parks. The event closed with a panel discussion on further enhancing product performance in extreme conditions. The audience of about 20 people consisted of personnel from the customer’s R&D, sales, maintenance and supplier management departments, along with representatives from their customer’s organization. “I was really happy to hear the positive feedback on the seminar from our customer. Also their customers that attended the event found it to be very valuable! They have already been asking for follow-up seminars,” Marko beams with pride. If you are interested in having a technology seminar, please contact your Key Account Manager at The Switch!
